Problem
Our client, a family enterprise and one of the largest agro industrial groups of the region, hired Baeza & Asociados to help them better understand the implications of the market opening in cultivations that had previously been protected.
Solution
Our recommendation was to strengthen the creation of a brand for their traditional product and a brand extension to other related products. We also implemented a plan to help agricultural cost reduction. Baeza & Asociados managed the implementation process to help the brand grow, because the company had few resources in marketing and distribution. Later, we coached a family member that had recently graduated from a MBA program.
Baeza & Asociados stayed as a family advisor and helped the generational transition take place. Several of the tasks were: designing the strategy for the corporation, designing a system that controls the agro industrial, logistic and financial processes (MRP, SCM, BI), reorganization, job design, recruitment of non-family managers, coaching of new managers and advising in the analysis of complex decisions for the corporation.
Result
Today, this agro industrial group, has improved its profit margins, has strong brands and has diversified its products, all done in an orderly process of generational change.
